Andy Gomer, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Gomer has over 25 years of enterprise technology experience, most of which have been spent in the engineering of high-availability, high-security distributed networks. He has significant experience with major programs with the Department of Defense as a Principal Architect of classified and unclassified worldwide networks. His unparalleled knowledge of DoD telecommunications policy and pricing has enabled him to help customers improve network performance while reducing cost of ownership. Mr. Gomer holds a Bachelors degree in Mathematics from Creighton University and an advanced degree in Operations Research from George Washington University.

Doug McVicar, Chief Operating Officer

For nearly 30 years Mr. McVicar has led organizations providing advanced information technology solutions and services to public and private customers worldwide. Prior to joining NES in 2010 he served as Vice President of Northrop Grumman Information Systems leading Cybersecurity, IT Outsourcing, and Enterprise Application programs and initiatives. Previously as Vice President of Litton PRC he led highly successful national priority programs for the National Weather Service and other federal agencies in transforming their business through the application of information technology. Mr. McVicar holds engineering degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from George Mason University. He began his career as a Civil Engineer Corps officer in the U. S. Navy.

Tim Murray, Director of the Defense Infrastructure Services Division

During his 30 year professional career Mr. Murray has held senior level IT positions with Wireless Facilities Inc, General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems and Litton PRC. Prior to joining NES, Mr. Murray served as Director for Information Assurance at the Defense Logistics Agency where he was responsible for implementing Federal and DOD information assurance policy at over 200 DLA locations and over 200 DLA developed applications used by more than 250,000 users worldwide. Mr. Murray holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting from the Villanova University and is a Certified Information Security Manager. He began his career as a U.S. Navy Supply Corps Officer.

Lori Severson, Director of Business Development

Ms. Severson draws from over 20 years of experience providing technology solutions to government and commercial customers. As a former Program Manager, Product Line Manager and Business Unit President, Ms. Severson has a track record of beating sales and bookings targets. Previously, Ms. Severson has held executive level positions at General Dynamics TechSight, Scientific-Atlanta, and Smiths Industries. Ms. Severson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies from UCLA and an MBA from San Diego State University.

Denise Kane, Director of Finance and Administration

Ms. Kane has spent her career in accounting positions of progressing levels of responsibility. Most of her career has been spent in the defense industry with companies such as STG, Sentel and TLA. As Controller, Ms. Kane has handled the workload of a fast growing small business ensuring that costs data is accurately tracked and has recently transitioned NES to the Deltek back office system. Ms. Kane graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Legal Studies.

Karen Maude, PHR, Director of Human Resources

Prior to joining NES Associates in 2010, Ms. Maude was the Director of Finance & Administration for the Association of Children’s Museums and the Information & Finance Manager for the Army Engineer Association. In addition to her work at NES Associates, Ms. Maude is the Executive Director of the Lieutenant General Timothy J. Maude Foundation which provides educational support for soldiers. Ms. Maude holds a Master’s in Public Administration with a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from George Mason University.
