Application Analyst

Description
Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications for functional areas such as payroll, logistics, and contracts. Develops block diagrams and logic flow charts. Translates detailed design into computer software. Tests, debugs, and refines the computer software to produce the required product. Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation. Enhances software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency. Contingent on Army G1 Contract award. Work is at Fort Belvoir.
Required Skills:
This position requires a minimum of six years experience, of which at least five years must be specialized. Excellent verbal and written communications skills and leadership abilities are required. Specialized experience includes preparation and analysis of financial statements. General experience includes increasing responsibilities in application analyst activities. Must demonstrate the ability to work independently or under only general direction.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related scientific or computer field.
- Must be certified in LINUX Redhat.
