Field Engineer
Description
Candidate will work as a member of an engineering team in a test lab environment. Candidates responsibilities will include: installing and uninstalling communications racks in accordance with provided engineering schematics and configurations. This will include installation of routers, switches, servers, KVMs, power strips, uninterruptible power supplies, firewalls, encryption devices, patch panels and associated cabling and wiring including electrical, low voltage, serial, fiber optic and grounding and bonding. It will also include loading of configurations on various internetworking devices such as routers, switches, CSU/DSUs, encryption devices etc.
Work Experience Requirements:
Candidate must have 4 or more years of experience in installation and configuration of cabling & electronic devices associated with telecommunications and computer networking systems. A working knowledge of networking and telecommunications technologies and experience with configuring associated devices is required. Experience with installation and configuration of Cisco, Juniper, Larscom, TACLANE, KIV-7(M, HS) devices is highly desirable.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Network+ Certification or equivalent knowledge and experience
- CCNA or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Extensive Government Background Check
- Drug Screening
- Candidate must be able to lift up to 50Lbs
