NES Associates has the experience and know-how to design and build enterprise-level Network and Security Operations Centers from the ground up and offer 24x7 network or security monitoring and management. NES Associates can fully staff or augment customer staff with operations center professionals familiar with best of breed network management software and hardware. NES is experienced with the 24x7 support of large scale distributed networks with hundreds or thousands of edge devices. NES can also assist customers in application monitoring and incident/problem correlation between application, system and network issues. Typical customer engagements include:

Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Enterprise Telecommunications Network (ETN). The DLA ETN is a global private WAN that uses the DISN infrastructure for transport to provide connectivity and NIPRNet access to 35,000 DLA employees and contractors in 48 states and 12 countries. Under the ETN project NES provides maintenance, information assurance, and operations support worldwide to include network engineering, configuration management, video teleconferencing operations, and IA services through our prime contractor SAIC.

NES provides service continuity management services in the form of Disaster Recovery (DR) and Continuity of Operations (COOP) support to organizations that need the ability to prepare for and recover from an unplanned outage. We provide analysis of current plans, remediation advice and infrastructure recommendations to ensure that DR and COOP plans are fully supported by the enterprise architecture. Unlike other providers of this service, NES includes both a business operations team and a technical team to ensure that the analysis and solutions we recommend are practical, based on industry and government mandated levels of service, and can be acted upon incrementally as budgets and timelines permit. In addition we provide expert advice on off-site planning and exercise plans where applicable. Much of our experience is garnered from building survivable and redundant infrastructure solutions for our government clients. Our staff have worked on projects requiring multiple hosting sites, controlled migration from site-to-site and concurrent and periodic backup/recovery solutions to provide a zero-downtime network.
