NES Associates Awarded Enterprise Email Contract

DLA Information Operations upgrade to Exchange 2010 for NIPR and SIPR . . .

ALEXANDRIA, VA – NES Associates (NES), in partnership with Solutions By Design (SBD), has begun work on the Enterprise Email program under a recently awarded contract by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). This firm fixed price contract will allow DLA Information Operations to upgrade its Exchange 2003/Blackberry email services to Exchange 2010 for the Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPR) and Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPR) email environment while consolidating and centralizing enterprise email capabilities to approved DLA datacenters.

Over the next two years, NES will provide technical support, design, building, testing and deployment of this new email system. Along with the upgrade, NES will be building and integrating new Virtual cluster infrastructure and SAN solution, while standardizing mail and mail storage capabilities. In addition, NES will expand the mail service size offering by implementing an email archiving solution that will increase mailbox sizes and decrease the storage consumption related to email messages. Ultimately, NES will consolidate all email and mobile device management services, into a single fluid system.

The Enterprise Email contract begins with a one-year base with two six-month options to follow.
