NES Associates Partners With Northrop Grumman On The DISA DCC Network Defense Operations Support Services Contract

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Alongside Northrop Grumman, NES Associates (NES) will be part of the DISA Command Center (DCC) Network Defense Operations Support Services contract. Over the next three years, NES will assist Northrop Grumman in providing support to the Department of Defense (DOD) and DCC Network Assurance (NA) Branch. The DCC NA is charged with directing the operation and defense of the Global Information Grid (GIG) and is chartered to provide operational Information Assurance (IA) support 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year to the DOD community via response and coordination of computer security incidents and near real-time strategic computer network defense (CND) analysis.

The focus of the this contract is to deliver information security expertise and technical support, analysis, and recommendations to the DCC in the areas of: Surveillance and Reconnaissance; Perimeter Defense, Malicious Software (Malware) Analysis, attack vector analysis, Computer Network Defense (CND), Incident Handling, Vulnerability Management/Reporting, Risk Analysis and Readiness, and Strategic Planning Analysis. The Northrop Grumman Team will also provide for technical analysis, drafting of plans and standards, systems engineering and technical assistance, threat management and security alerting services to support the DCC on CND mission critical responsibilities.

NES provides the Northrop Grumman Team with 11 full-time cybersecurity professionals supporting perimeter defense; threat, incident, and malware analysis; incident response, cyber intelligence fusion analysis; and the Computer Network Defense Service Provider (CNDSP) certification process.

This performance-based contract starts with an initial one year base period, followed by two additional one-year option periods. This prime contract was awarded to Northrop Grumman in February 2013.
