NES Wins Major Software Contracts at DCMA

Establishes NES as DCMA’s Primary Application Developer and Primary Integrator

ALEXANDRIA, VA – NES Associates, LLC ( was recently awarded the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) contract – establishing NES as the primary application developer for DCMA. This award comes on the heels of the successful capture of NES’ incumbent work on the DCMA Software Development and Environment Support (SDES) program. Under SDES, NES serves as DCMA’s primary software integrator.

NES will plan, design, develop, integrate and maintain software applications to exceed DCMA’s functional and technical requirements. DCMA’s web applications serve business areas across Contracts, Pricing, Industrial Engineering, Program Integration, Quality Assurance, Property Management and Transportation providing a set of
tools for the input, management, retrieval, modification and storage of data in accordance with DCMA’s established policies, procedures and goals.

In addition, NES will assist DCMA’s end users with their business content migration to SharePoint which will serve as a key enabler for DCMA’s next generation of contract administration workflow that will be delivered on a BPMS platform. NES is also working in partnership with DCMA to transform the SDLC program from the current waterfall process to an agile process, which will deliver capabilities incrementally to DCMA’s end users.

SDLC and SDES were awarded as Flexible Order Agreements (FOAs) with a combined ceiling of $90 million. The period of performance for both SDLC and SDES FOAs include a base period of one year with four one-year option periods. NES is recognized for its superior ability to deliver cost-effective technical services that improve productivity.
